Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences, Physiologist
The Department of Biological Sciences at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is looking to hire a Physiologist to join our faculty in Fall 2027. This is a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, suitable for someone interested in blending a career in research and teaching.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience teaching and conducting research with student populations similar to those at CSULB and who demonstrate a commitment to supporting the success of all students within our diverse campus community. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in physiology, establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program, and actively mentor undergraduate and Master's students in laboratory-based physiological research.
We are especially interested in candidates whose research approaches, models, or methodologies do not require extensive animal housing facilities.
